Obviously Scrabble is one of our culture's most important tools for connecting with words. Are words good or bad? Of course, we often say such a word is " bad ". And in Scrabble there are permitted words and not permitted. You get points or not. But connecting with words in social environments (formal and informal) is extremely helpful. Now, I have to say one thing (THING), because for us, right now, the kinds of words we use can be helpful. Certain words like Democracy or democracy are wonderful words, but they are not always helpful, in less formal environments, because of the levels of complexity within the word and emotions connected to it. It can be confusing. There are many words of this type. In some more formal environments they can be more helpful What is important I think is that we recognize the emotional content and effects of some of our words, as well as some of our behaviors. It should be pretty clear that the notion of consciousness is related in some rather special way to the arrow of time. When we consider not so much what consciousness is with what consciousness does the issue of consciousness become pretty clear. Consciousness is a process that distinguishes what is real and what is not. This is where it immediately gets difficult and why generally the topic is avoided except in medical practice - because the idea of a process implies a receptor and a reception, which in fact you may view from various angles, which kind of leads into the notion of religion. It does seem a little curious that from the stand point of education and science education the topic seems to be avoided in what appears to me to be a bit dramatic. This leads me to conclude that it is mostly avoided to separate religion from science as if either science or religion would become corrupted. So it seems like some people like to suggest that God is non-scien...
If you ask the question - How did I get here, (at any given time), that would be, all the events previous to this that more or less explains why you arrive at the particular place and situation you are in. If you look at the U.S.A.,,, very interesting and complex " entity ", but honestly if you " ask ", how did we - meaning the U.S.A. arrive at the point we are, then it would be pretty much the same, it is really all our collective actions from the past, and even people we of course don't even know, are involved with that. Now of course you can go back as far as you wish, but really we just need to go back 100 years I think. In that time line Kent State occurred right in the middle. Kent State occurred in May 1970. And we can see that all these events which occurred in our so called " immediate past ", explains --- will explain fairly accurately " why " we are here at this point in this time. Those events explain t...
