Consciousness - Episode 18

It should be pretty clear that the notion of consciousness is related in some rather special way to the arrow of time. When we consider not so much what consciousness is with what consciousness does the issue of consciousness become pretty clear.  Consciousness is a process that distinguishes what is real and what is not.  This is where it immediately gets difficult and why generally the topic is avoided except in medical practice - because the idea of a process implies a receptor and a reception, which in fact you may view from various angles, which kind of leads into the notion of religion. It does seem a little curious that from the stand point of education and science education the topic seems to be avoided in what appears to me to be a bit dramatic. This leads me to conclude that it is mostly avoided to separate religion from science as if either science or religion would become corrupted. So it seems like some people like to suggest that God is non-scien...

Episode 14: Free Range Turkeys

We don't know everything, in fact it seems like there is a lot more that you don't know, as compared with what you know, at any given time.  I must speak personally at this time, but, generally it seems that way to me. Mostly concerning things we do not know, it has to do with we have not taken the time to time about some of those things. And of course we have a big trade off between what we take time to know and what we take time to actually do. So this is important, the balance that we are searching for at all times between these things, and how we know, what we know and what we do.  And it's a constant effort, for some reason.  And that reason I don't know.

Right and wrong on the tracks,,, Episode 13

Alternatively, Just the Facts,,, I believe one of the principal functions of human activity is the collection of facts and data,,, how that relates to the sonic relationship between two songs is a bit confusing and essentially I think that is about the arrow of time you see, you put 1970 before 1983. About combining them, entirely a different matter, on which I am not qualified to talk but if you think about it is also related I believe to the illusive and mysterious arrow - o - time ..... Basically this is about how to sonic ly , combine these songs one from 1970, and one from 1983 Casey Jones Grateful Dead Driving that train, high on cocaine, Casey Jones you better watch your speed Trouble ahead, trouble behind And you know that notion just crossed my mind This old engine makes it on time Leaves Central Station 'bout a quarter to nine Hits River Junction at seventeen two At a quarter to ten you know it's travelin' again Driving that train, h...

Episode 12: A somber moment

I wonder if there is a cure for Minnesota Nice? Has there been any research done on that. I am in a situation trying to escape from the ( arrow )  of time by blogging on the arrow of time, This really sounds like a bit of existential angst, kind of time continuum paradox, maybe the kind of things kept Dr. Einstein up late on a weekday. So, at this time I kind of feel like I am in a well,  curious situation, in real time, as well as bucket loads of curious situations in the past. This makes me think that all these curious situations are likely to disappear in the near future.  I say this of course with absolute sincerity. Perhaps it is just speculation. May we always maintain the idea of better times ahead.
